    head gasket

    I am replacing a head gasket on a 98 do I need to have the heads surfaced if it was mine I would just put them back on but I dont want to screw this guy ya know

    as long as they are pretty flat, i wouldnt worry- the gasket should form to the differences in deck height, but this is my opinion on my personal engines

    X2^^ I would check with straight edge and feeler gauge to check myself.
