    look in your owners manual

the owners manual does not tell you the towing capability it referrs you to the towing and r v guide provided by your dealer. this was not provided by my dealer so I looked it up on fords website; if you look at that chart it is extremely confusing and does not tell you to the t what your truck is capable of. it only beats around the bush giving you 2 different towing capabilities and you have that no other information that is not provided by anybody

I know these trucks are alot different, but we used to tow a 25 foot 5th wheel with our 93 F150 with 351 and we were completely maxed out, possibly over our max. We could barely keep highway speeds. If it wasnt for the fact that we only used the trailer 1 or 2 times a year we would have just bought a Diesel which is what we did the last year we owned the trailer. These trucks are very different though so i dont wanna say theres no way. You'll just have to do a little more research. You'll definitely want to upgrade your suspension

Thanks. Give me a little confidence. It has the fx4 suspension so should be good for now

8,400 is A LOT for that truck. I think your max is about 5-6K. If its a one-time thing and you take it easy, no problem, but don't do it often

Yeah our 5th wheel was around 6500. We actually popped a rear tire because of it on one of our trips. That was alot of fun having to pull over under an overpass an unload everything so we could change the tire. That's when we decided to buy the diesel haha

My trucks max towing capability is 11,200. However, the receiver cuts it off at 10,500 as long as you use a weight distruibuting hitch

    ----------

The 5-6k was for the old 2004 through 2008 models.

    I should be alright....
